  • MLB needs both a salary cap and a minimum salarylevel for each team.  This business of the small market teams pcoketing the luxury tax money is not fair to the fans.  The motto should be "use it or lose it".

  • I am not a Pete Rose fan. I am a Dodger fan. However, he should be allowed in the Hall of Fame as a player, which he obviously deserves. He should not be allowed on the field in any capacity since MLB can not take a chance of having the integrity of the game questioned.

  • One reason Kemp stats are so good is that he is hitting down in the lineup. That being said, he deserved to be in the All Star game. It was so apparent this weekend when he played against Hunter Pence of the Astros who was selected to the game. Compare the differences in their stats.

  • I agree that the rule is unfair, but for different reasons. This rule makes it extremely difficult for colleges to plan the recruiting and develop their teams. I propose that the NBA adopt the MLB rule.

  • We need to decide if the game counts for something or not. If it does, no guaranteed spots. If it doesn't, the only ones who care are the players and their fans who were more deserving and didn't get on the team because someone else was rewarded for mediocrity.

  • How ridiculous, especially after Victorino got on yesterday and Howard was the 4th firstbaseman.  Big deal.  He hit 20 home runs, batted .268, had 54 RBI and 12 SB.  Matt Kemp is hitting .319 with 10 HR and 46 RBI and 19 SB.  Kemp's stats are better overall.

  • For many years, I have been told to accept the fact that my team, the Dodgers, hadplayers left off the All Star team that I though were deserving, simply because their record wasn't as good as another team. Well, this year I expected it to turn around. It didn't.
